Blessing of the Backpacks!
Sunday school will start fall registration starting on Sunday, August 29th with a 'Meet 'n Greet' to get us all back into the groove. We know folks are still winding down from the last of those summer vacation trips, so we're moving along gradually - here's our September schedule, please mark your calendars now:
Sunday, Aug. 29th - Registration & Meet 'n Greet & Blessing of the Backpacks
Sunday, Sep. 5th - Registration - no classes ~movie/play day & Blessing of the Backpacks
Sunday, Sep. 12th - Camp Wright Sunday - Potluck lunch follows
Sunday, Sep. 19th - First full day of Sunday School

Come on back - it's Camp Wright Sunday on September 12th!
Pack up the kids, your sunglasses, and a great potluck dish to share and we'll celebrate the return to fall with a joint Christ Church/Living Water service @ 10 am at Camp Wright! We'll also celebrate the success of our Africa Mission group's trip as they share stories and pictures of their amazing trip in July. The kids will be invited to join in a special activity to support our African Mission. After the service, we'll gather in the Dining Hall for another great potluck lunch - we'll supply deli platters and the drinks and you supply the rest of the menu - bring out your very best recipes! Here's how it works,if your last name begins with the letters:
A - D: bring a main dish side
E – L: bring a fruit or veggie salad or vegetable side dish
M - Z: bring chips or dessert
Word to the wise: You need to get there early to get good parking and seats in the shade!

18th Annual Crab Feast and Picnic - Another Success!
And one for the 'Weather Record Books' - Sunday, 15 August from 3:00pm - 6:00pm at the fabulous Kent Island Yacht Club: It was a true test of our Eastern Shore dedication to crabs: we gathered together in what started out as rainy and windy conditions and it all ended up blissfully cool and delightful... The crabs, corn, burgers & dogs were all perfect - and served by our superior volunteers - we have the best!
